As out trainers are pet dog owners each understand the importance of creating a happy, confident and healthy dog both physically and mentally.

Currently all our trainers are working towards and aspire to become Kennel Club Accredited Instructors and Institute of Modern Dog Training Instructors. Our current head trainer holds a FdSc Canine Behaviour and Training.

Education is key to dog training, this is why we believe that dog training as an industry never stops evolving with each week, month and year new research is published into how, why and what our dogs are doing. Our trainers are constantly reading new material, attending courses and learning new Positive and Force Free Training Methods to ensure that we can give you the very best experience and advice whilst with us.

Mark Byrne

Mark is our Head Trainer at PayTheDog and Founder.

Mark started training his own dogs at the age of 14, this started off with a German Shepherd x Newfoundland, Henry. Having had a interest in animals from an early age Mark went on to study Animal Care and the Animal Management at Wakefield College and Askham Byran. Whilst studying at Wakefield College and Askham Byran Mark underwent a work placement at the local stray holding kennels it was here where the interest in training dogs grew much stronger after seeing the number of animals surrendered due to improper training or even lack of it and only having a one way ticket out of the kennels. It was then that Mark decided to become more involved with rescue and ensure that each dog leaving the kennels for rescue left with some basic obedience.
Mark currently has two dogs; Barni 14 year old Corgi x Jack Russell Terrier and Jeffery 2 Year old Border Collie.
